Evaluation: Represented as a one-owner car and showing 353 miles. Still has the window sticker in place and there is plastic still on the seats and even the shift knob. The paint and underbody could stand a detailing and you probably couldn’t drive it very far if at all, but this is a first-year SVT Cobra still in the wrapper.
Bottom Line: Bought less as a car and more as a full-scale version of a toy still in the box. It’s a lot of money for a Fox-body Mustang but these kinds of numbers for in-the-wrapper high-performance models like the SVT Cobra have become familiar at big muscle car-heavy auctions like this. If the car had a few nicks and scratches and a couple more zeroes on the odometer it might have sold for half this much.
