EVALUATION : Unrestored original | Very good original paint and brightwork. Nearly new interior. Represented with fewer than 500 miles, a believable claim. Quite possibly the best Zimmer Quicksilver in existence.
BOTTOM LINE : The rare Zimmer Quicksilver (about 170 built) looks like a big V-8 luxury car in photos, but it’s actually a Pontiac Fiero underneath, mid-mounted engine and all. It’s less garish than Zimmer’s better-known neoclassics and, again, is probably the best in the world. Few at the Biltmore seemed eager to pay for that distinction, with bidding concluding at half the presale estimate.
