EVALUATION : Unrestored original | A time-warp final-year Karmann Ghia represented with 411 miles. Still has the original window sticker attached. The driver’s seat looks a little flat considering the miles but otherwise the car is showroom fresh. As close to a new, off-the-lot Karmann Ghia as we’re ever likely to see.
BOTTOM LINE : The world-record result here will likely encourage other well-preserved Karmann Ghias to come to market. But it’s hard to imagine any of them being as pristine as this car, so don’t expect to see this kind of result again anytime soon.
