Evaluation: Scroungy underbody that’s never been stripped or restored but has good suspension and brakes. Attractive but aged engine compartment. Good upholstery, which is claimed to be original. Not restored but done to high cosmetic and appearance standards.
Bottom Line: Sold at Mecum Dallas six months ago for $41,800 and sought to be flipped here for a profit. The consignor wasn’t wrong, just optimistic. This was a realistic bid for a handsome automatic transmission Trans Am SD with a replacement engine and could have been taken without regret.
