Chassis no. HLS30127677. White with black side stripe over maroon vinyl. 2393/151hp, automatic, tinted glass, console. Factory AM/FM radio, aluminum wheels.

Evaluation: Old respray with chips, scratches, touch ups and blisters. The trunk and hood also don’t quite match the rest of the car. Poor panel fit. Lightly worn but decent interior with wear to the seats and switchgear. An unimpressive late 240Z, and the automatic just makes it a disappointment.

Bottom Line: Even unimpressive 240Zs will stretch a budget these days, and clean examples have about tripled in price over the last 10 years. But putting an automatic in a vehicle that redefined the market for sports cars really limits its appeal, much more than an auto would on something like a muscle car. More than a few people walked up to this car during the preview, saw the knob between the seats, and immediately turned around and walked away with a disappointed look on their face. If it had a 4-speed this car could have realistically sold for double the price.
