Evaluation: One of 1000 in this immediately recognizable color scheme. Dented stainless trim. Masking holidays. Door windows don’t seal. Generally neglected and repainted to poor standards. An unusual, eye-catching, fun car that deserved a better treatment than it got.
Bottom Line: This is a handsome price for such a neglected Rebel Machine but it is surprisingly not a record. That’s held by Mecum at Kissimmee two years ago for A0M190Y179861 which brought $77,000 all-in. That car, however, was a much better example and this result is a tribute to flair and flamboyance, not value. It is unreasonably expensive. Other classic sporty AMCs did very well in Kissimmee this year, too.
