Evaluation: Unrestored original | Three-owner car, 17,512 miles, and the worst factory paint in recent memory. Flaws everywhere. Good original interior and chrome. Represented as original throughout and thoroughly documented from new.
Bottom Line: Had this Miura S been restored or even repainted at some point in its history then presented as it was here, it would be a mere million-dollar Miura. Its originality and low miles elevated its value in the perception of the Gooding & Company bidders by something like a third. The premium is understandable—the car could contest for preservation awards but is worn just enough that it can be driven with the comfort that a stone chip or bird strike won’t harm its appeal and value.
