RM continued its monthly online auction cadence this March with another “Online Only Open Roads” sale. Like the February Open Roads auction, it featured cars scattered through Europe, the Middle East, and North America, and was more like three separate auctions going on simultaneously. Bidding for cars and automobilia in the UK closed on March 24, while those in Europe closed on March 24 and those in North America closed on March 25.
Most notable but not necessarily the most valuable out of all the consignments was a group of seven barn finds recently recovered from Virginia. There were several very well-optioned muscle cars and a very rare TVR Griffith, but these were “barn finds” in every sense of the term with rust, dust, and damaged goods. Several of the cars were also missing engines. We cover them as well as several other featured cars in detail below.
Is it a barnfind if it’s been in storage for 45 years, I knew where it was and it’s my barn?
